ELECTRICAL DESIGNER/ENGINEER
ASI is seeking a qualified individual to assist in designing the control systems, including the electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, used to operate and control ASI’s drying systems. Responsibilities include:

Ability to generate detailed electrical drawings and assemblies from sketches, design specifications, and engineering standards

Ability to work with customers, project engineers, supervisors, technical personnel, and shop personnel to prepare electrical drawings and schematics, generate item requisitions for purchased parts, and provide periodic reviews and updates on projects

Ability to provide technical support to sales, service, and manufacturing departments
-
Ability to work with customers in a competent and professional manner

Ability to effectively communicate and interface with supervisor, dress out/electrical shop personnel, and other technical personnel
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Self-motivated individual with exceptional organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
-
Detail oriented individual with a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple job assignments
-
Other duties as required

Some travel and overnight stays may be occasionally required
Qualifications: The candidate should have the following qualifications:
-
A minimum of an associate degree from a two-year college or technical school in electrical engineering or a related field
-
Relevant experience a plus
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field a plus
-
Firm grasp and understanding of electrical engineering concepts, design principles, and mathematical concepts
-
Knowledge of drying equipment, coating technology, and/or converting industry a plus
-
Ability to size process equipment such as electric heaters, burners, steam coils
-
Competent working with and understanding electrical schematics and PLC control systems
-
Familiar with AutoCAD electrical
-
Ability to identify, evaluate, and solve problems
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
-
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
