PAINTER/COATINGS DEPARTMENT/FABRICATOR: 

ASI is currently seeking a qualified individual for an industrial coating and painting position. Applicant would also assist on the manufacturing floor with other duties as workload required. Desired qualifications and skills include:

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent

• 2-5 years of industrial finishing, coating, or painting experience is desired

• Previous manufacturing floor experience a plus

• Basic computer and data entry skills a plus

• Working knowledge and experience with hand tools a plus

• Ability to comprehend blueprints, drawings, cutting orders, bills of material, and project plans

• Knowledge of and adherence to hazardous waste procedures

• Attention to detail and output quality

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to stand on ladders, kneel, bend down, and stretch to apply masking tape • Effective communication skills

• Responsibilities would include:

  • Inspecting, cleaning, and preparing part surfaces for paint

  • Masking parts and plug holes to print notes to prevent overspray

  • Using spray equipment, including conventional HVLP and electrostatic equipment

  • Applying primers and topcoats with high level of consistency and quality

  • Repair cosmetic defects using fillers, putties, and tools

  • Work in other areas, such as machine or assembly departments, when needed
