FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN/ENGINEER
ASI is currently seeking a qualified individual to provide technical service and customer support during on-site installations and start-ups and in-house phone and parts requests. Desired qualifications and skills include:

a minimum of an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a related field OR one year relevant experience and training OR equivalent combination;

HMI and PLC software programming skills (Allen Bradley RSLogix and Panelview preferred) or willingness to learn, working knowledge of AutoCAD a plus;
-
design and write programming based on consultations with controls manager, project engineers, and third-party consultants;
-
conduct tests of written logic and workstation screens, including on-line capabilities, network communications, verification of on-screen addressing, and safety alarms;
-

excellent troubleshooting skills, including working knowledge of a multimeter, hand tools, and other diagnostic equipment;

set up and troubleshoot gas burners, fans, wiring, piping, air lines, retraction systems, and switches;
-

ability to install ASI equipment to specifications and schematics;
-
willing and able to travel 40-60% of the time and work overtime and weekends if needed;

ability to work with customers in a competent and professional manner and build a rapport with end-users, installation crews, and third-party consultants;

assist in the design and review of control schematics and electrical drawings;
-
excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-
write and review end-user and technical documentation and manuals;
-
prepare timely and detailed service reports;
-

self-motivated individual with exceptional organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills;
-
detail oriented individual with a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple job assignments.
