SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK: ASI is currently seeking a shipping & receiving clerk to work in the stockroom. Desired qualifications and skills include:

  • minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent;

    • 1-3 years of relevant experience a plus;​

  • computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office;

    • knowledge of Syteline/Infor ERP software a plus;​​

  • a team player who can work diligently and accurately with minimal supervision;

  • exceptional organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment;

  • great communication skills and receptive to learning new skills, being trained, and constructive feedback;

  • physically capable of routinely lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.

  • Responsibilities include:

    • verify incoming orders with purchase orders, check for discrepancies, and receive items into Syteline;

    • inspecting incoming materials and notifying appropriate staff of potential quality issues;

    • using Syteline to organize and issue parts to a job;

    • requisitioning stock parts and materials and coordinating the purchase of materials for fabrication and stockroom supplies with Purchasing;

    • distribute inventory, tools, and supplies to stockroom shelves, job carts, and co-workers;

    • log and enter stock charge outs on Syteline;

    • assist and track material returns;

    • overseeing incoming and outgoing parts shipping activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and conditions of shipments;

    • arranging transportation for parts orders to optimize service and cost or according to customer specifications;

    • record inventory data manually or on a computer;

    • complete regular cycle counts, as well as mid-year and end-of-year inventory counts, to maintain accurate inventory;

    • document discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts;

    • preparing paperwork as needed for domestic and international shipments;

    • maintain accurate records of shipments, requisitions and receipts; 

    • ensuring stockroom is organized and clean and meets all compliance factors;

    • interfacing with Engineering, Applications, Technical Service, Electrical/Mechanical, Accounting, and Purchasing departments as required;

    • interface with customers as required; and

    • other tasks as assigned.
